Flying your own plane is the ultimate luxury — the freedom to leave on your schedule, skip the terminals and traffic, and go directly to the mountain passes and coastal strips that commercial airlines can’t reach.
But the highest-quality personal airplanes available today were designed decades ago and demand too much from pilots. Outdated mechanical controls create a heavy workload and a level of stress in the cockpit that makes flying unattractive.
We’re reinventing personal air travel by building an entirely new class of aircraft for the next generation of pilots.
Our premium four-seat airplane was designed with intelligent automation that keeps the airplane safe at all times — capable of auto takeoff, navigation, and landing when you want it. And it has radically simplified, intuitive controls when you want to hand-fly.
Unlocking the sky, for everyone.
Skytron was founded in 2025 by AI entrepreneur Greg Mercer and former Marine combat commander Shane Stinemetz.
They spent the last ten years scaling Greg’s first bootstrapped AI company to a 9-figure exit.
They started pilot training in Cirrus aircraft a few years ago and quickly saw that personal aviation was outdated, complex, and dangerous. Greg owns a brand-new SR22T but still chooses to fly with a safety pilot.
That conviction became Skytron: an effort to reinvent personal flight from the ground up.
Greg has personally invested $20 million to get the company started.
